General Announcements:

  • Grade 7: Wear blue jeans, black shirt, neon accessory
  • Grade 8: Wear black and white

Humanities:

• Due Wed., 5/9: Read Howard Zinn chapter, complete homemade worksheet on women.
• Wednesdays (Gr. 7) or Fridays (Gr. 8): Read your novel, bring questions to discuss.

Math:

• Due Thurs., 5/3: Math's Mate 3.6, according to usual protocol, including any attached N/A problems.
Grade 8

Algebra A

• Due Tues., 5/8: p. 615, #33, 35, 37, 44, 60, 61, 66. These ask you to do three things:
  1. Write a quadratic equation in standard form: ax²+bx+c=0
  2. Factor the ax²+bx+c expression
  3. Use the factored form to find both solutions (x-intercepts).
  You must show some kind of check that demonstrates your factorization works. You will not get credit for solutions based on faulty factorization.
