A Fantastic Voyage in a Puddle

Artful prankster Slinkachu (also responsible for Inner City Snail, a very slow-moving street art project), focuses on tiny art. The British artist has been installing still vignettes with tiny people for years. This piece features a sneaker in a puddle and tiny people in a bottlecap. Click the photo to see more images of this project at different levels of close-up and to see more of Slinkachu's tiny people installations.

Many Ways to Build on A Skeleton

In an x-ray, you could be any number of people. Artist Matthew Cox takes advantage of this, building on top of the skeletal framework given by x-rays with embroidery, imagining what that piece of the body could be doing: eating a banana, holding flowers, smiling or taking a walk outside. Click above to see more of Cox's embroidered x-rays.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
