This Dinosaur is Named after the 9-year-old who discovered it
Above is an artist's rendition of the recently named
Vectidraco daisymorrisae, a small pterosaur that lived on the Isle of Wight, off the coast of Britain. Daisy discovered the bones four years ago while walking on the beach. After scientists from Southampton University announced that it was, in fact, a distinct species, they decided that the animal's name would give credit to its discoverer, now 13.
