Pokeberry Collection Walk TODAY 5:45 PM. Further details below in yesterday's homework post. Math: 7th Grade:

Gathering Red: We are collecting pokeberries, a native plant historically used for a wide range of purposes, for an upcoming project. For those who can attend, we are meeting for a collection walk this Friday, 9/25 at 5:45-6:30 PM along the bike path in Easthampton We will be meeting near Easthampton Feed on Mechanic St. (Map here, Directions from Rt 10 coming from Northampton here). Parking is available. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little stained. The more people, there are, the more berries we can collect and the better our dyeing results will be. Math: 7th Grade:
  • Complete (again) 1.1 follow up in CMP book using the strategies taught in class (intervals) and your own jumping jack data. Then complete 1.2 on p. 9 using the approach taught in class and explained on pgs. 7-9. Staple all together with original data. Thoughtfulness, legibility and editing are expected. Due Fri., Sept. 25
8th Grade:
  • Revisit/redo 1.1B in CMP book, applying strategies used today in class (finding proportions for each data pair (Bounce height/drop height) and using measures of center to find a reliable proportional relationship to use in making predictions). Refer to notes in your mathe binder. Thoughtfulness, legibility and editing are expected. Due Fri., Sept. 25
Social Studies:
  • Answer handout questions about the movie about early civilization in the Fertile Crescent. Due Fri., Sept. 25
