  • NEWS FOR YOU!  You now have a link to your textbook!  This  link will bring you to the Big Ideas Math Website, where you will choose your color/name of book.  Then you can search the entire textbook - like today's sample problems done together in class.  Check it out - you can search without a username and password in the "Home Edition".

  • Due Fri., 9/28: Define terms highlighted in class today (in the Ecosystems text given you) using your own words. The sentence must provide a meaning to the vocabulary word; this would not work:  for ecosystem   "An ecosystem is part of a biosphere."  This is true, but does not say what an ecosystem is, or what the word means!

N is for Neidbou, a German word describing a building constructed for the sole purpose of inconveniencing a neighbor. Other letters stand for singular words with such diverse meanings as "looking worse after a haircut," "the hesitation when you forget someone's name," and, "the irresistible urge to pinch something cute."
