Co-designed by Canadian artist Rodney LaTourelle and German landscape architect Thilo Folkerts, this outdoor installation in Quebec is a labyrinth of old books, which are slowly returning to the forest. The above photo, taken a few months ago, is about two years into the installation. Click to see more images or see pictures from when it was first set up.

2)  Describe the specific technique of the KICKNET ( the tool we used to collect the insects).  How sis we use the kicknet to gather the insects - what did we do with the net?

• Monday, 9/10 - Parent meeting, 6:30-8 PM, 3^rd Floor Classroom
• Friday, 9/14 - All-day field trip to Tekoa Mountain outdoors in Chesterfield Forest. We will be in the woods and in the water, so dress accordingly. There will be no hot lunches or pizza, so make sure you have a lunch that you can bring with you and eat without heating. We will return by 3:45.

Annotate each paragraph with a few words summarizing its topic either on post-it notes in the article or in the Annotation Worksheet shared with you on Google Docs (remember to make a copy, rename to include your name, and share with Beth).

Sculpting Time

Polish-American sculptor Adam Niklewicz often creates his found-object sculptures around food. This one shows the path of a spoonful of soup from bowl to mouth. Which reminds me: bring your own set of silverware to school and keep it in your cubby.
