General Announcements:
  • If you ever notice something missing or wrong on the blog, comment to let me know about it - I don't always have the whole picture. -Grace
  • Monday, 9/10 - Parent meeting, 6:30-8 PM, 3rd Floor Classroom
  • Friday, 9/14 - Outdoor adventure field trip. A waiver is coming home tomorrow, as well as a description of our day!
Other

  • Due Monday, 9/10   You and your parents  should read over the  school 's Community Compact, (green handout given out today), that both you and your parents sign!

Humanities:
  • Due Fri., 9/7: Read Ch. 3 of What the Moon Saw and answer Reading Log questions. Reading log shared with you on Google Docs if you are missing the paper.
  • Due Fri., 9/7: Finish paragraphs about identity (the Nikki Lee photos we looked at in class are shared with you in Google Docs)
Math:
  • NEWS FOR YOU!  You now have a link to your textbook!  This  link will bring you to the Big Ideas Math Website, where you will choose your color/name of book.  Then you can search the entire textbook - like today's sample problems done together in class.  Check it out - you can search without a username and password in the "Home Edition".

    • due Friday, 9/7  Fair Game Review Chapter 1, pgs. 1-2 . Do all the exercises. If you get stuck, show what work you have done.

Science:
  • Due Thurs., 9/6: Finish questions on watershed worksheet you began coloring in class today (turn in at Math)
  • Due Fri., 9/7: Bring/wear shoes that can get wet, shorts. Bring camera if you have one.

San Francisco - 1906, 2012


Shawn Clover examined historical photos taken after the disastrous 1906 earthquake in San Francisco, CA, identified landmarks still in the city, photographed them using the same framing, then merged aspects of the two photos to include aspects of both.
