When you're graphing it or when you're trying to find a point on it?
If it's giving you an error message when you're just graphing, it's one of two things: 1. You used the subtract button instead of the negative button (next to the decimal key). The negative key minus sign will look shorter and higher up than the subtract key minus sign. 2. You need to adjust the window settings.
If it's while you're tracing and entering a value, realize that it will only let you put in x values and that it will give you an error message if the x value you put in isn't displayed (adjust the window setting).
If neither of those works (and sometimes the calculators get cranky for a reason I've yet to determine), you can reset the memory. It's the second function of +, which means you hit the yellow 2nd button, then +. One of the options is "reset." Choose that one, and then you want to clear RAM. You'll have to put in the equation all over again after that, but it should work.
On the 8th grade math homework, Ive been trying to graph a quadratic equation but it keeps saying error. What should I do?
