- You must have an independent reading book every day. If you are getting close to the end of one, have the next one at school and ready to go.
- FIELD TRIP this Wednesday, 11/18 to the Smith College Art Museum to see their Greek Art collection.
- OPEN STUDIO: This and next Tuesday, 11/17 and 11/24 from 3-4 PM, Puppetwork Open Studio in the Atelier with Joy to work on god(dess) puppets. There is very little class time remaining for this project, especially with the field trip on Wednesday Afternoon.
Math:
7th & 8th Grade:- Due Tue., 11/17: Bring your independent reading book into class.
Social Studies:
- Due Tue., 11/17: Bibliography for Ancient Greece museum project
- Edit Athens/Sparta letter if handed back.
Science:
- Due Tue., 11/17:
- Read handout on "History of the Metric System."
- Make a diagram of how the meter was first determined.
Language Arts:
- Due Tue., 11/17: Bring in your black top & pants for Thursday's performance. Check this in with Grace in the morning, then keep in your cubby.
- Due Wed., 11/18: If you are an actor (not a shadow), bring in an accessory item that communicates your character (e.g., crown=Zeus).
- Due Thurs., 11/19: On white, lined paper, write a well-developed ¶ describing why you chose your current independent reading book. Title of entry = Title of book + Author. Edit all.
Spanish:
7th Grade:- Due Tue., 11/17: Read & review capítulo 3 of Pobre Ana
8th Grade:- Due Thurs., 11/19: Translate 3 "adjective ¶s" in the Johnny Depp article.
Moment of Zen:
This picture was taken with a long exposure time, so you can see the changing positions of the stars in the sky through the night, as they seem to rotate around Polaris in the North.
