Radio Time Capsule: September 21, 1939
Seventy-four years ago this past Saturday, DC-Area radio station WJSV recorded their entire broadcast day. Much like today, there's music, news, sports, and ads, but this was the pre-television Golden Age of Radio, so there were also soap operas, comedy shows, educational shows, game shows and an address from president Roosevelt on the situation in Europe (1939 = WWII, before official US troop involvement).
