Homework -- 4/3

NOTE: Students are to always have their current independent reading book with them in school. They should be reading for 20 minutes daily in their independent reading book. Language Arts Assigned today: Due Monday, 4/6, write open response answer to Reagan speech question. Use the graphic organizer and the speech to develop a well-developed response. Look at the Rico MCAS evaluation criteria to guide you also. Record start and stop time. Previously assigned/still due: None Math Reminder: Everyone must have their own calculator at school. Assigned today: 7th Grade: None (Covering and Surrounding). 8th Grade: None (Looking for Pythagoras). Previously Assigned/still due: 7th: None 8th: None Note: When needed, you can always get grid paper from the internet.   • Journals are turned in every Friday morning (onto Marc's table). If we do not have school on Friday, they are turned in at the end of the day on Thursday.

  • Due Wednesday, 4/8, finish second composition. Place in "Other" homework bin in morning on 4/8.

Show how you got each answer. Calculators may be used, as usual, for CMP assignments (Covering and Surrounding). 8th Grade: Due Friday, 4/3, us the Pythagorean Theorem to find the helicopter distances in #8, 9, 10, and 11 on p. 35. Also, use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve #14, 15, and 16 on p. 36. (Looking for Pythagoras).
