General Announcements:

  • Finish all research by Monday, April 1 (no joke!). At least 50 notecards in all outline categories.
• Grade 8: 2500 words (i.e. all) of rough draft due Mon., 4/1
• All: Read about ¾ of your novel by Mon., 4/1.
• All: Study for test on Hinduism and geography of South Asia (Fri., 4/5)

Grade 7:

• Level 1: Due Mon., 4/1: Complete popcorn bag problem (Find a new set of dimensions for a bag that has 96 in³ of capacity and give its surface area). Revise textbook, p. 308-309, #3-8, 12-15, as necessary using format discussed in class. Here's the example from class:
  radius = 1 cm; height = 10 cm

  V = π • 1² • 10
  V = π • 1 • 10
  V = 31.4 cm³

• Study/practice conjugations of tener and tener phrases

• If you've lost or are confused by your music, see this Google Doc which contains the sheet music and links to Soundcloud to recordings of the music you can play along with.

8th Grade Project:
