Math

7th Grade:  today I gave you a TAKE HOME QUIZ,  to complete on your
own, and to turn in this coming MONDAY, JANUARY 27.

We all did the practice quiz today, found on page 171,  at the end of Chapter 4.2

I will also share with you a pdf  file of this quiz, if you misplace your copy.

  • Lowell trip Fri., Jan 24. We will be departing the school at 6:45 am and returning around 5:00 pm. Students will need to bring a lunch.

Math:
  • 7th Grade: Complete either Practice A (percent increase and decrease) or Practice B for homework

  • 8th Grade:Grace's Group:
    • Due Thursday, 1/23: Finish 3.5 Enrichment problems (about animals and legs), #1-5. Then create your own systems of equations problem involving animals with two different numbers of legs. Your scenario must indicate:
      • The two kinds of animals (specify the number of legs on each if it's not obvious; style points for animals with odd numbers of legs)

  • John's Group:
    • Due Wed. 1/22Complete series of practice problems simplifying expressions with exponent
    • pp 466-7, #19-30 (odd), 41,45, and 52
    • Due Thurs.,1/23  Corrections for your test due!
 Humanities:
  • Reading log #3 due Thurs., 1/23.
  • Plan for newspaper, due tomorrow.
Science:   
  • due Wed. Jan22: read over your Pro/Con genetics speech, and be ready to present it tomorrow!
