Ring of Fire

We missed out on it because it was dark out, but folks around the Pacific Rim were treated to an impressive annular eclipse yesterday when the moon passed between the sun and the earth, blocking out most of its light for a few minutes, but leaving a "ring of fire" hanging in the sky, like in the picture above. Click to visit a gallery of different photos of the eclipse.
