General Announcements:

• If you ever notice something missing or wrong on the blog, comment to let me know about it - I don't always have the whole picture. -Grace
• March 16 (PM only) & 17 (all day) - Spring parent/student/teacher conferences. Conference sign-ups available in the River Classroom.
• March 16, 17 & 18 - Wed., 3/16 will be an early dismissal day (No Homework Club), and on Thurs., 3/17 and Fri., 3/18, there will be no school for students.
• Fridays: Hip-Hop Dance - The Prisms' next PE unit will be hip-hop dance class on Friday afternoons. Students need to wear or bring comfortable clothes and shoes for class.
• Wed., March 16 - Ukulele Club registration forms due. Download Ukulele Club documents here.
• Fri., March 25 - First Ukulele Club Meeting
• Eighth Grade Project resource page updated 1/24, including project deadlines through the end of February and downloadable documents. Page will be updated as I get new information.

Math:

Grade 7 and 8
• Due Wed., 3/16 Complete MM 2.8 and any attached N/A problems. Show work for all * problems on separate paper.

Language Arts:

• Nada

Social Studies:

• Due Wed., 3/16: Finish your Jerusalem illustration if not already done.

Science:

• Due Wed., 3/16: Read pp. 200-206 in Physical Science text. Answer the following questions on p. 207: 1-6. Answer in complete sentences on separate paper.

• Due Tues., 3/15: Complete the final copy of the essay by word processing it. Use the editing tools to find typos. Just transpose what you have written. Make no major changes from your revised and edited first draft. Paper clip the first draft and graphic organizer to the final copy.

• Due Tues., 3/15: Read pp. 158-161 in Physical Science text. Answer the following questions on p. 164: 1-3, 5, 7, 8. Answer in complete sentences on separate paper.

Before and After the Japanese Seismic Event

The Australian Broadcasting Company has posted an interesting set of photos related to last week's disaster in Japan. Each of the photos is made up of two satellite images: one from before the event and one after, each of the exact same place. You can slide back and forth between the two and compare.
