Homework -- 4/1

NOTE: Students are to always have their current independent reading book with them in school. They should be reading for 20 minutes daily in their independent reading book. Language Arts Assigned today: Due tomorrow, complete first draft of novel. Previously assigned/still due: None Math Reminder: Everyone must have their own calculator at school. Assigned today: 7th Grade: Due tomorrow, problems #1-99 on p. 93 (Covering and Surrounding). 8th Grade: Due tomorrow, problems #1-101 on p. 80 (Looking for Pythagoras). Previously Assigned/still due: 7th: None 8th: None Note: When needed, you can always get grid paper from the internet. Social Studies Assigned today: Found a World Religion. Previously Assigned/still due: None Science Assigned today: Due tomorrow, completed life-size model of human skeletal system. Previously Assigned/still due: None Spanish Assigned today: 7th Grade: Translate the novel you are writing for L.A. into Spanish. 8th Grade: Translate the novel you are writing for L.A. into Spanish. Previously Assigned/still due: 8th Grade: Due Thursday, 4/2, read ch. 6 (the last chapter!) 7th Grade & 8th Grade: Spanish Projects will be due Friday, 4/17 (after Spring Break). We will present them and enjoy Hispanic dishes that day!
8th Grade Project
  • Write something everyday in your journal (except weekends, unless otherwise arranged with advisor): entries should be dated and focused on how your independent project is going, your feelings about it, challenges, successes.
  • Journals are turned in every Friday morning (onto Marc's table). If we do not have school on Friday, they are turned in at the end of the day on Thursday.
Atelier
  • Repaint the Sistine Chapel (don't tell the Pope, it's a surprise!).
  • Finish second composition - due next Wednesday, 4/8.
Materials Needed for Homework to be Taken Home:
  • 8th grade - L.A. journal (for project entry)
