The 110-year lightbulb

This lightbulb has been working for the last 110 years. Installed in a firehouse in Livermore, CA in 1901. Most incandescent bulbs burn out after 1000 hours of use, or about 42 days of constantly being on. The Livermore bulb is constantly on now, in fear that it will burn out being turned off or on. It also is on a webcam, so you can check up on the bulb regularly. Click the picture above to see the bulb live and read more of its history.
