General Announcements:
  • If you ever notice something missing or wrong on the blog, comment to let me know about it - I don't always have the whole picture. -Grace
  • Wed., 9/21: Field trip to visit Anne Griffin's beehive in Florence and scout examples of Roman architecture along the way. We are leaving around 10:30 am and should be back by 2:30 pm. We will make arrangements for Blue House lunches, but otherwise make sure that you have food that doesn't require heating up.

Humanities:
  • Due Tues., 9/20: Review and memorize key facts for your essay.
  • Due Wed., 9/21:
    • All: Review and memorize key facts for your essay.
    • Lord of the Flies: Read Ch. 8 and complete reading log.
    • Girl Who Owned a City: Read Ch. 12 & 13 and complete reading log.
    • Come prepared to discuss.

Math:
    Gr. 8
  • In Samples and Populations, do 1.1 and follow-up. Use the following three statistical techniques to analyze the data:
    1. The mean for natural/regular peanut butter
    2. The median for each type
    3. A stem-and-leaf OR histogram

  • Gr. 7
  • In Data About Us, do Problem 2.2 and follow-up on p. 25 and #11-13 on p. 27.

Math:
  • Due Wed., 9/21: Bring in paper grocery bag for field trip.

Music:
  • Due Tuesday, 9/20:Write a prose and a verse for the words "Community" and "Individuality". They should be about the relationship between the words.

Möbius Cake


The project of self-described evil mad scientists, the above möbius is made entirely of sugar using a 3D Printer called the Candyfab 4000. The Candyfab is EMSL's whack at making a low-cost 3D printer. Where most 3D printers use expensive lasers, the Candyfab uses cheap heating elements and sugar.

Science. It works.

  2. Sorry, don't have a book here. Call a friend in the class who has a scanner (or at least a decent camera), because there's graphs you need to see to answer the questions.

  3. couldnt get ahold of anybody will this still count as undone? i tried realy hard to get a copy? i google docsed it to john to see if he could give me it but he didnt answer. realy wanted to get this done.
