Homework -- 4/29

NOTE: Students are to always have their current independent reading book with them in school. They should be reading for 20 minutes daily in their independent reading book. Language Arts Note: Have L.A. journal in class with you all the time. Assigned today: None Previously assigned/still due: Due Thursday, 4/30, in L.A. journal, write a friendly letter to Emily D. You are to write to her as a person from her life might write her at the end of the reading completed today. (At least one page long.) Math Reminder: Everyone must have their own calculator at school. Assigned today: 7th Grade:None (Covering and Surrounding). 8th Grade: None (Looking for Pythagoras). Previously Assigned/still due: 7th: For tomorrow, Thursday 4/30, study the problems and solutions we used yesterday, pp. 307-309 (except #15 and #16), and be ready for a quiz tomorrow. 8th: For tomorrow, Thursday 4/30, study the problems and solutions we used yesterday, pp. 184-187 (except #16), and be ready for a quiz tomorrow. Note: When needed, you can always get grid paper from the internet. 8th Grade Project
  • Write something everyday in your journal (except weekends, unless otherwise arranged with advisor): entries should be dated and focused on how your independent project is going, your feelings about it, challenges, successes.
  • Journals are turned in every Friday morning (onto Marc's table). If we do not have school on Friday, they are turned in at the end of the day on Thursday.

  • 8th grade - L.A. journal (for project entry)
  • L.A. journal
  • MCAS problems (for Math review)
