Homework -- 4/7

NOTE: Students are to always have their current independent reading book with them in school. They should be reading for 20 minutes daily in their independent reading book. Language Arts Assigned today: None Previously assigned/still due: None Math Reminder: Everyone must have their own calculator at school. Assigned today: 7th Grade: Due Thursday, 4/9, complete Math's Mate Term 3, Sheet 5. (Covering and Surrounding). 8th Grade: Due Thursday, 4/9, complete Math's Mate Term 2, Sheet 5. (Looking for Pythagoras). Previously Assigned/still due: 7th: None 8th: None Note: When needed, you can always get grid paper from the internet. Social Studies Assigned today: None Previously Assigned/still due: None Science Assigned today: Due Thursday, 4/9, on handout, p. 151, answer Vocabulary questions 1-5 and Concepts 6.1 questions 1, 4-8. Previously Assigned/still due: None Spanish Assigned today: 7th Grade: Due Thursday, 4/9, for the story "El Pelo de Pepe," match a sentence from the story with each of the 12 pictures. 8th Grade: None Previously Assigned/still due: 7th Grade & 8th Grade: Spanish Projects will be due Friday, 4/17 (before Spring Break). We will present them and enjoy Hispanic dishes that day!
8th Grade Project
  • Write something everyday in your journal (except weekends, unless otherwise arranged with advisor): entries should be dated and focused on how your independent project is going, your feelings about it, challenges, successes.
  • Journals are turned in every Friday morning (onto Marc's table). If we do not have school on Friday, they are turned in at the end of the day on Thursday.
Atelier
  • Due Wednesday, 4/8, finish second composition. Place in "Other" homework bin in morning on 4/8.
Materials Needed for Homework to be Taken Home:
  • 8th grade - L.A. journal (for project entry)
  • Math's Mate
  • Science handout (p. 151)
  • Spanish 7 - "El Pelo de Pepe" handouts
