Homework -- 3/24

Language Arts Assigned today: Due Wednesday, 3/25, write/type the first draft of the opening and second paragraph of your essay on "How has school changed for you since the fourth grade?" Use your graphic organizer to guide you. Paperclip your graphic organizer to 2 well-developed paragraphs. Previously assigned/still due: None Math Reminder: Everyone must have their own calculator at school. Assigned today: 7th Grade: Due Thursday, 3/26, complete #1-5 on p. 76 - find all measurements except area at this time. Use "3.14" when finding the circumference (Covering and Surrounding). 8th Grade: Due Thursday, 3/26, do 3.2 on p. 29 according to directions given in class - to complete A & B for all three puzzle proofs. Then on separate paper write out your responses to C & D on p. 29 based on all three puzzles solved. These are to be thoughtful responses based on patterns observed (Looking for Pythagoras). Previously Assigned/still due: 7th: Due Wednesday, 3/25, complete Math's Mate Term 3, Sheet 3. 8th: Due Wednesday, 3/25, complete Math's Mate Term 2, Sheet 3. Note: When needed, you can always get grid paper from the internet. Social Studies Assigned today: Previously Assigned/still due: On Friday, 3/27, there will be a quiz on Islam and Baha'i. Science Assigned today: Due Thursday, 3/26, find area of one footprint (cm. squared), and determine lbs. per cm. squared. Find area of ball, heel (cm. squared). Previously Assigned/still due: Due Wednesday, 3/25, Option A - typed bibliography due; Option B - depends if outside sources... Spanish Assigned today: 7th Grade: None 8th Grade: None Previously Assigned/still due: 7th Grade: Due Thursday, 3/26, write ch. 10 of Pobre Ana. 7th Grade & 8th Grade: Spanish Projects will be due Friday, 4/17 (after Spring Break). We will present them and enjoy Hispanic dishes that day!
8th Grade Project
  • Write something everyday in your journal - except weekends - (it could be a thought, a challenge, a sentence or two, etc.).
Atelier
  • Due Wednesday, 3/25, research imagery for your collograph (photographs, drawings, etc.).
