Homework -- 3/23

Language Arts Assigned today: Due Tuesday, 3/24, show your science poem to parent, and have parent sign the completed release form for contest. Return both to school. If a parent has a question regarding the contest, email me tonight at jperciva@hotmail.com OR call, 413-863-5141. Previously assigned/still due: None Math Reminder: Everyone must have their own calculator at school. Assigned today: 7th Grade: Due Tuesday, 3/24, complete the assignment on lab sheet 7.4. Follow the directions in the margin of the labsheet. (Covering and Surrounding). Due Wednesday, 3/25, complete Math's Mate Term 3, Sheet 3. 8th Grade: Due Tuesday, 3/24, do 3.1 on p. 28. You may use your "Key" to help find areas of tilted squares. Otherwise, use the strategy reviewed in class today - inscribe a tilted square in an upright square, find negative space, etc. All computing is to be shown (Looking for Pythagoras). Due Wednesday, 3/25, complete Math's Mate Term 2, Sheet 3. Previously Assigned/still due: 7th: None 8th: None Note: When needed, you can always get grid paper from the internet. Social Studies Assigned today: For Tuesday, 3/24, if you get any weekly news magazines (e.g. Time, Newsweek, etc.) please bring in to school. On Friday, 3/27, there will be a quiz on Islam and Baha'i. Previously Assigned/still due: None Science Assigned today: Due Tuesday, 3/24, revise your drawings as indicated (if necessary). Previously Assigned/still due: Due Tuesday, 3/24, Option A - final draft of report due; Option B - mobile due. Due Wednesday, 3/25, Option A - typed bibliography due; Option B - depends if outside sources... Spanish Assigned today: 7th Grade: Due Thursday, 3/26, write ch. 10 of Pobre Ana. 8th Grade: None Previously Assigned/still due: 7th Grade & 8th Grade: Spanish Projects will be due Friday, 4/17 (after Spring Break). We will present them and enjoy Hispanic dishes that day!
8th Grade Project
  • Write something everyday in your journal - except weekends - (it could be a thought, a challenge, a sentence or two, etc.).
Atelier
  • Due Wednesday, 3/25, research imagery for your collograph (photographs, drawings, etc.).

  • 8th grade - L.A. journal (for project entry)
  • Math book and binder
  • Gr. 8 Math - dot grid paper
  • Gr. 7 Math - handout, "Labsheet 7.4"
