General Announcments:

Math:

• 7th Grade:We began a new Geometry unit on SIMILARITIES and TRANSFORMATIONS.Today, we investigated what it means for two objects to be geometrically similar to each other, and found that their sides (or parts) must be "in proportion" with one another.
• Tonight:
• In R&P Journal (also in the Textbook, p. 194-5, complete Activites 1 and 2; then, in the Textbook, p. 198, do questions 9 and 10

8th Grade:

Grace's Group: 

• due Tues., 2/11: in packet, finish last two sheets (p. 110, 5.4 Practice and p. 181, 5.3 Practice A)

John's Group:

• due Tues., 2/11: Today we completed Inv. 2.4, and what we can tell about the shape of the parabola formed by the quadrartic equation, by the equation itself.

 Humanities:

• One more side article due tomorrow.
• Reading log #5 assignment due 2/13

Science:   

• Bring in a video recording device (if you have one!) this Friday
• Bring in a shoebox or other small box to store your mousetrap cars!
