General Announcments:

  • Mondays: Wear or bring comfortable clothes for PE.
  • Lowell trip Fri., Jan 24. We will be departing the school at 6:45 am and returning around 5:00 pm. Students will need to bring a lunch.
  • Coffeehouse, Smith Voc., Friday, Feb. 28. Watch this space for more details as they develop
Math:
  • Due Friday, Jan 10
  • 7th Grade:
    • Complete both scale drawings of your ergonomic desk chair
  • 8th Grade: 
    • Grace's Group:
      • Due Tues., 1/14: Finish 3.4 packet. For Activity 3 and for #1 and 2 on the Practice sheet, your answer must include the following
        • Scenario: what is the situation you imagine that will tie together the data (ex. draining the tank in a fish store)
        • Interpret x and y intercepts: What does each of these points mean? (ex. y-int is the number of gallons in the tank before draining, the x-int is the number of hours until the tank is empty)
        • Label graph axes with appropriate units (which is independent? which is dependent?)
        • Draw line
        • Describe rate
        • Write an equation for the data given.
      John's Group:

 Humanities:
  • Reading log #2 due Thurs., 1/16.
  • Read and annotate "As Long as Grass Grows" underline dates, events, people, products for your newspaper. Due Friday.
Science:   No new homework, BUT...  your Pro/Con graphic organizer for your genetics speech is past due, and the final printed copy of your speech is due this coming Monday, January 13.
