Science:
  • Sesame Brittle:
    • 1 c. toasted sesame seeds (or some other nut/seed of your choice)
    • 1 c. sugar
    • 1 c. light corn syrup
    • 1/3 c. water
    • 2 T margarine/oil
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    In pot, add seeds, sugar, corn syrup, water and oil. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until it reaches 270° (~15-20 minutes)

    Grease baking pan, stir in baking soda and spread mixture ~¼" thich on baking tracy, oiled or on oiled parchment. Allow to cool before breaking into pieces and eating.

    1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. water

    Put all ingredients in a pan and heat over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. The stuff in the pan will go from foamy through to creamy smooth and really start turning caramel brown. Pour onto a greased cookie tray and let cool.
