Homework -- 3/10

Language Arts Assigned today: Due Wednesday, 3/11, complete the opening of your short story through the exposition - time, place, intro. to the main character, establishing of mood/atmosphere. Previously assigned/still due: None Math Reminder: Everyone must have their own calculator at school, as you cannot borrow one from Jane. Assigned today: 7th Grade: Due Wednesday, 3/11, do 6.3 on p. 59 and #1, 4, & 6 on p. 60 (follow the model shown in class today) (Covering and Surrounding). 8th Grade: Due Wednesday, 3/11, do #1 on pp. 24-25 (you will need dot grid paper, protractor, and ruler) (Looking for Pythagoras). Previously Assigned/still due: 7th and 8th Grades: Due Wednesday, 3/11, Math's Mate (7th - Term 3, Sheet 1; 8th - Term 2, Sheet 1). Note: When needed, you can always get grid paper from the internet. Social Studies Assigned today: None Previously Assigned/still due: None Science Assigned today: Due Thursday, 3/12, do Leg Lever Activity - a, b, & c (see handout, "Leg Levers - Digger or Runner?). Also due Thursday, 3/12, your source for you "Mechanics of the Human Skeleton" project (see handout). Previously Assigned/still due: Due Wednesday, 3/11, answer all Vocabulary questions (1-14), and Concepts questions 1,2,3,5,6, & 9, on p. 425 of handout. Answer on separate lined paper.
