    Tuning Sites
  • Ukulele Tricks’ Tuning Page
    Plays pitches for each of the strings in standard tuning (GCEA) and can also be set to several other tunings (including standard baritone uke (DGBE)) Also includes instructions for tuning by ear.
  • Get Tuned’s Soprano Uke Tuner
    More versatile tuner, which allows you to pick any tone for each of the four strings if you want to get into more esoteric tunings. The site also has tuners for most other stringed instruments.
  • Uke School's Guide to Tuning by Ear
    Under the heading “Ukulele Tuning in the Real World", this site offers a detailed explanation of tuning by ear on the fly.


    Chord Sites
  • Doctor Uke's Waiting Room
    Chords for mostly classic songs, set up in a very beginner-friendly way, with chord diagrams above each chord change.
  • Ukulele Hunt
    Good for finding new uke songs, chords for contemporary songs
  • Ukulele Boogaloo
    Large bank of chords for a wide range of songs
  • Also, remember that once you’re familiar with most chords, you can look up guitar chords, which are plentiful on the internet, since the names of the chords don’t change. This can present problems when they indicate strange, unnamed fingerings, but in those cases, if no other chord sheet can be found, you can pick out the individual notes and construct that combination of notes on the uke.
